Squirrels attacking Mom's car...eating brake lines and wiring! I kinda got a problem with that! Any ideas?

It's a miracle she didn't have an accident before it was discovered during a routine maintenance check. Everything has been replaced, but how do we keep it from happening again? The little varmints are everywhere. There is no garage...so that is not an option.

A humane solution would be nice...but whatever works!

Can trap and remove with have-a -hart trap. Available at any hardware or harbor freight store. Or check with you local ag. extension office for help. Or must be very hungry so feed and gradually move feed away from vehicle until far away.Squirrels attacking Mom's car...eating brake lines and wiring! I kinda got a problem with that! Any ideas?
dump open a bad of nuts about 5 feet from the car, squirrels should go for that instead of tasty car parts
Tie a cat under the hood?

Unforunately they like the warm, dry environment under the hood with all the little nooks and crannys to hide in. They like to chew the soft spongy rubber stuff, especially wire insulation.

How about an electronic device under the hood?

I'd check the web for a solution, Household cures and remedies for varmits and rodents.
